What comes with the GAD 13 ? What comes with the CAD 13 and GTP 59? What do I have to have to work with 2 G5s?

The GAD13 comes as the unit only. The GAD 13 / GTP 59 comes as a complete kit with the OAT probe and connector kit. You will need the complete kit. The OAT probe can be added to the CAN bus for the dual G5s.

Is the GAD 13 for certified aircraft?

Yes, the GAD 13 is FAA PMA approved.

The install manual says either Garmin probe or other OAT probes, would Davtron 655 work for this?

Per the manual that probe is not listed as an approved OAT probe. at the moment only the GTP 59 and C307PS.

Will the G5 display Density Altitude in a certified aircraft with the GAD13?

No, The G5 will only display Density Altitude with the GAD 13 on the experimental version. The GAD 13 provides OAT and True Airspeed for certified aircraft.

I want to know if you need to hook up any thing else from navigator gps along with these to the G5’s to get the wind temp and density altitude?

Per the manual, the GAD13 uses the can bus to communicate to your G5/Canbus system. The OAT is directly connected.

I have a G5 in a stand alone configuration (Not connected to a navigator) as an attitude indicator. Do I need anything else in addition to the GAD 13 to get winds? I keep getting conflicting answers. I would think I need a GMU 11 or some other source for true heading, but the overview doesnt say that you need anything else.

With a standalone G5, the GMU 11 will be needed for the winds function to work properly as it needs to know which direction.

What is the approximative weight of GAD13+GTP59? How long is GTP59 cable?

Per the manual, the GAD13 is 0.24 lbs the GTP59 has a weight of 0.3 lbs and has a 10 foot lead.

Will the GAD 13 interface with the OAT probe used by the EI Carb/OAT?

The GAD 13 is available as a bare unit for usage with a 3rd party OAT, or as a complete kit including a GTP 59 RTD OAT probe and connector kit.

Does the GAD13 Unit Only include the connector kit?

No, the unit only does not include the connector kit. However, the GAD 13 and GTP 59 kit (part # 11-17436) includes the connector kit.

Will this kit provide winds on the G5 in a certified aircraft?

This OAT probe interface is FAA-PMA approved and can be added to the CAN bus for an existing single or dual G5 installation and enable the display of Outside Air Temperature (OAT), True Airspeed (TAS), and Winds Aloft.

What comes in the connector kit? It only says the OAT probe. How does it get winds aloft and True airspeed? Are there additional sensors/probes needed or supplied?

The connector kit has the backshell hardware, the D-sub connector and the pins. The GAD13 activates those functions once connected and configured.

I have a stand alone Experimental G5 with an external GPS antenna. If I get a GAD 13 and temp probe, do I need anything else for interfacing between the two to get true airspeed, density alt and winds?

Per the installation manual, that is all you need for those functions.

If using the Davtron C307PS temp probe with the GAD 13, will I need to purchase the GTP 59 connector kit also?

No, that will not be needed if you select the C307PS.
