This is a hard bound book from a report authored by Major Charles L. Brammeier, USAF while a student at Maxwell Air Force Base Air Command Staff College. It is not intended as a "top of the line" book, but rather, produced for it's content. It is about the 475th Fighter Group - "a World War II Army Air Force P-38 unit that flew bomber escort, fighter sweep, defensive combat air patrol, and air-to-ground missions from a series of austere bases in New Guinea and the Phillipines. It was one of the few groups to finish the war with over 500 air-to-air victories, and produced the seond - and fifth - highest scoring USAAF aces of the war. "
