The Battery Tender Plus is a 1.25 amp battery charger designed to fully charge a battery and maintain it at proper storage voltage without the damaging effects caused by trickle chargers. Included is a quick connect harness for hard to reach areas.

Automatically switches from full charge to float charging mode.

Why can't you use these Battery Tenders with the Gill aviation batteries?

We have added the warning letter explaining the reasoning for this to our "Documents" tab of this webpage. Please review it for the full explanation.

Can I safely use this Battery Tender Plus 12V with an Odyssey 12 volt battery? Can I leave it connected to the battery all winter in the hangar 24/7?

Per the instructions, this can be installed and left as a maintenance free charger, and maintainer for a lead acid battery. Odyssey batteries are lead acid batteries.

Is the Battery Tender Plus 12v compatible with earthX batteries?

Per the Earth X website: It can be used for charging only. Maintenance voltage is too low.
