The Aveo Powerburst is listed for 14V applications. Will this work in a 12V system? Regarding 05-04877

Yes, 14V sets can be used in 12V systems as they are essentially interchangable.

What are the dimensions of 05-04877? Thank you.

This site on one page says it is water proof and vibration proof. On another page it says water and vibration resistant. Which is it water / vibration proof or water / vibration resistant?

We have updated our web page to be consistent with the manufacturer's. All listings of this information now say "waterproof and vibration proof" which is consistent with manufacturer's listing.

If the sync wire is omitted from the installation, does the Aveo Powerburst light system still function normally, except, that is, with the left and right strobes out of sync?

The blue wire is an optional sync feature. The lights are closely matched at the factory but they will, over cycling, end up out of sync if the blue wires are not connected between the lights. If you don't care about syncing then there is no need to connect the blue wires.

I have a 12V system but when the engine is running my gage is showing 14.6V. Is that within the acceptable range?

Yes, this is within the operating range for this light set.

Regarding Part # 05-04877 (AVEO POWERBURST GREEN-RED-WHITE): Do the position lights (Red/Green) flash or just stay constant on?

The tech data sheet only shows the strobe (white) flashing. The red / green lights do not flash.

What is the repetition rate of this strobe? How many flashes per second?

Repetition Rate of Strobe: 50 cycles per minute. This would equal 1.2 flashes per second.

Aveo shows this as the PowerBurst Plus. Are you selling the newer model or the older (non-Plus) model?

The Aveo Powerburst(05-04877) is the DayLite model.

How many candela is the nav light and how many candela is the strobe?

Aveo does not provide candela information. They state that the candela depends on lab resting conditions.

Can the strobes be tuned off separately from the red and green nav lights? So they are not constantly on when the nav lights are on.

The nav lights have a separate power supply than the strobe. You can wire two switches to operate independently.

Do these lights need a strobe power module, or are they wired straight to aircraft power and controlled simply with a two toggle switches?

No external power supply is required. Installation instructions can be found under the documents tab.

Will these lights work on a 24V system?

No, 12v systems only.

The lights are listed as a pair, so in the specifications the current required is listed as position light uses .24A and the strobe as 1.65A. Is this for both the position lights/Strobes or just one?

The measurements shown are per light/strobe, not total for the pair.

Do the Powerburst wing tip units incorporate white tail lights, as will as the red/green Nav position lights and white strobe lights?

These Aveo Powerburst Plus lights are sold as a pair of wing tip lights. No tail light is included.

Does this Aveo Powerburst Plus light set meet the requirements of FAR 91.205 (c) for night flight?

This series of lights is intended for experimental aircraft installations only and has not been tested to far 91.205(c). For a certified aircraft solution please see part number 05-08099.

Do these lights come with a built in rear position light in addition to the red/green position and stobe light? Similar to the AeroLed Pulsar NS has.

Yes, it does have the rear position light, nav, and strobe.

Is the Aveo Powerburst lens replaceable?

No, Aveo does not recommend the user to replace the lens. For repair, please contact Aveo.

Overheat Protection: Yes or No?

Yes.

Does this Aveo powerburst come in a pair, two nav lights and strobe?

Yes, this is priced and sold as a pair.

Do these meet the requirements for Night Flight in an Experimental?

Per Aveo: the FAR's require Approved lights for night light requirement.

Can these be used on 24v system?

No, operating voltage on these lights is 9 – 18 V DC.

Do each of the different pairs (black bases, white bases, and red/green bases) all operate the same?

Per Aveo, all of the pairs of lights have the same navigational lighting and strobing, and all have the same Aveo performance standards. The only difference is the color of the base material within the individual light. This allows the aircraft owner to coordinate the base with the color scheme of the aircraft.
