SunSpot LX is designed as a LED drop in replacement for the existing GE4509 PAR 36 aircraft lights. SunSpot LX is available in a landing or taxi light. SunSpot LX landing light projects 65,000 candela using 45 Watts/3 AMPs max of power. SunSpot LX taxi light projects 15,000 candela. Mounts with existing ring clamp.

Power consumption: 45 Watts Max; Current Draw at 14VDC: 3 Amps Max Available in taxi or landing lights. Clamp Mount: Par 36 Ring Clamp.

SunSpot has the same great design features as other aircraft light designs:

Wide Input Voltage Range
(9-40VDC)
Over-temp Sense Protection
Low-voltage Sense (shuts down half the LED's in emergency, low voltage conditions)

They strongly recommend adding the Pro-tech lens coating which comes with a lifetime warranty on the lens for damage caused from rocks and debris. PMA'd.

Does this item include a wig wag feature or do I need to purchase that separate?

The wig wag feature is not included on this model. However, part number 11-09353 does include the wig wag feature.

Can these AeroLeds Sunspot 36LX lights be installed on certified aircraft? Does the STC cover the where is your stc or approval list fcover the Aviat Husky?

The SunSpot 36 can be installed on any certified aircraft with a logbook entry however it is also on the type certificate for the Aviat Husky.

What is the warranty period for the AeroLED Sunspot 36LX lights and what does it cover?

The warranty is 5-years from date of purchase. Please make sure to keep the receipt.

Provided there were no modifications done to the light, it covers the mechanical functions. If it quits working, AeroLED will replace the light directly to the customer.

Will this AeroLEDs Sunspot 36LX light connect to the existing wiring like the current GE4509 light that is installed?

Per the supplier: Yes, it will connect to the existing terminals. Please see the data sheet and dimensions PDF in the "Documents" tab to confirm that the size will fit in your specific aircraft application.

I have two conventional PAR36 lights with a MaxPulse wigwag switch. Will these LED lights work with that wigwag switch?

Per the supplier: Yes, it should work with the SunSpot 36 LX. We have had several customers connect the SunSpot 36 LX series to existing flash systems in order to make them flash.

Yes, the Sunspot 36LX is a drop in replacement for Par 36 lights, including the GA 7604.
