Plunger Primer Mounts in panel thru 3/4' hole. Comes complete with nut and Lockwasher as shown. Two rear ports accept any 1/8' id. fuel line. Attach supply line to angled port. Straight port routes to Carburetor.

Yes, when depressed, the primer will not allow fuel flow.

Does the plunger lock in the in position?

No, this unit does not have a lock feature.

What is the length of travel?

Roughly 1-3/4 inch

You just pull the knob out to let fuel port through the primer body when the engine starts to crank and the pulse vacuum draws fuel to the Tee and primer to the carburetor. Some primers require pumping, there would need to be some kind of bellows, something to draw fuel from the Tee and send it to the new nipple in the carb.
