No, it is non-hazardous as this battery does not use lithium.

What is the useful life of ELT BATTERY P/N BP-1020? Is the date shown on the battery the legal 50% of the battery life or the full battery life?

The ELT Battery (11-17920) has a 2 year battery life. Date listed on the battery is for the full life.

If I order a battery in March 2020, will the battery indicate a life expiration date of March 2022 or later?

Since these batteries have a useful life of 2 years from the date of manufacture, it is impossible to receive a battery with a full 24 months remaining on the life. We do our bets to receive and ship them out with no less than 23 months remaining on the battery.
