No, this cable will work with a digital recorder but not an iPhone/iPad as this cable is a 3 connector pin and the iPhone/iPad needs a 4 pin connector like part number 11-10531.

Will the Xcom Video Patch Cable work with the Go Pro Hero 3 Cam?

This is a digital video cable and so should work although we have not heard of any cases yet using this cable with the Hero 3.
