Yes, the MCI MD93 (10-05774) is TSO'd for use in certified aircraft.

No, the USB ports are not lighted. The power input is on the back.

Regarding the Mid-Continent Digital Clock USB Charger MD93: Is the Flight Time Input a) input power or b) Ground? If its power, how much voltage is the flight time input?

Ground or Power connected to pin 4 will activate the flight timer.
If connecting power, it should be the same power provided to pin 1 (10-32VDC).

Will the Mid-Continent Digital Clock USB Charger MD93 ship with an 8130 form?

No, the 8130 is not included in the box. You must request the document in the shopping cart to receive the 8130, extra charges apply.

Is it possible with the Mid Continent Digital USB Clock Charger to charge and use Ipad at the same time? I need it for longer flights than my battery on the Ipad will last. I want to plug in and charge while using the Ipad. any help?

PER APPLE: You can use your iPad while charging the battery. However, depending on what you are doing, you many not charge at a fast rate, or you may actually not charge at all, if you are doing graphic intensive applications and your screen is set at 100% brightness.

Does the MD93 come supplied with the power connector kit?

The unit comes with the mating connector and the mounting screws.

Can the internal battery on the Mid Continent Digital USB Clock MD93 be replaced by the customer?

Per the manufacturer the battery has a life span of 10 years, and once it is expired it cannot be replaced by customer. It must be sent in for replacement.

It is certified to TSO C71. Since this unit is not STC'd or PMA'd, you'll have to fill out a 337 major alteration form for this installation. Please refer to your local flight standards district office for more information.

How does this instrument avoid drawing power when the aircraft is off?

This unit has an internal battery to avoid using aircraft power when it is off, it must also be wired to a circuit breaker which will insure it does not draw power when off.
